Sometimes, it seems like things were just better in the old days. Machines and gear used to last a lifetime, and stuff was proudly designed, engineered, and produced in America by skilled craftsmen.

Throughout my decade in racing, I’ve been driven by performance, and mentored by masters: the men and women whose pioneering spirit, innovation, and persistent drive are nothing short of legendary. Many of the finest Indy and F1 drivers and teams around the world built their chops in karting. As have I. But for me; looking backwards and learning most deeply from the folks that actually invented this sport has not only been educational, it’s been rewarding beyond words.

I’ve been fortunate to have “500 grandfathers”, each of whom can impart their wisdom and the lessons learned after 50, 60, and in some instances even 70 years in Karting (my oldest living mentor, Captain Jack, now in his nineties).

Ludovico Racing honors the timeless legacy of this sport by furnishing authentic vintage race karts and parts that are restored to their former glory, NOS parts sourced from storied collectors and racers (just itching for their very first run around the track), and even brand new racing parts we’ve created to meld the best of modern-day manufacturing techniques with styling and a humble sense-of-purpose that are absolutely inherent to the sport of Vintage Karting.
